Nick is a drone pilot and mechanical engineer with extensive field and research experience. He serves as a Drone Pilot for Eastside Fire and Rescue and works as a Research and Development Mechanical Engineer at Amazon Prime Air.

Nick earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, focusing on robotics and unmanned aircraft systems. He is pursuing a Master of Science in Aviation at the University of North Dakota and a Doctor of Aviation at the Florida Institute of Technology, both focused on drones.

Nick designs and implements drone acoustic tests that meet FAA and EASA guidelines for community noise and environmental assessments. He developed a microphone array and data acquisition system to capture noise data in hover, takeoff, landing, and flyover conditions. His academic testing on DJI models and professional testing on Amazon drone delivery platforms inform regulatory approvals and noise reduction efforts in the drone industry and academia.
